Seminars that the entrepreneurs discuss I think it’s beneficial for students of Business Administration, Because the seminar revolves around the experiences of personal entrepreneur the problems and challenges that confronted them in the course of their work, So I attended this seminar at the College Theater and lasted for one hour, and the main idea was entrepreneurship the meaning of entrepreneurship are operations to search for lots of business opportunities under risk conditions (J.Ebert and W.Griffin, 2017).Entrepreneurs attended the seminar, they are the owner of the Flamingo Project alanoud, and the owner of a healthy does moudi moreover, Hanan Sammari executive director of Princess Madawi Fund for the Development of women and the moderator of the seminar is the teacher Shahed Alnasser. The symposium discussed and talked in general about what is the working environment or what is the entrepreneurial environment and what are the difficulties and advantages in entrepreneurship, especially Saudi entrepreneurs. During the seminar, the teacher presented some questions to the guests, and the questions are what the difficulties facing businesswomen?  and What does a leader need to start his project? Also, at the end of the seminar, we can ask entrepreneurs about their projects. When I knew the names of the entrepreneurs who were coming, I was very excited because their projects inspired me to start my project and I hope to benefit from the seminar in the future.

  • Analysis of learning

I learned a lot of things while attending this seminar, and I knew many of the information about entrepreneurs that I hadn’t already thought of, The first thing I was shocked about it in the seminar it was earlier that there were difficulties for women entrepreneurs in terms of supporting companies and those interested in entrepreneurship, but currently, there are no difficulties where the difficulties faced by men are the same as women face. Also, one of the things I mentioned at the seminar that I have never heard of is the entrepreneurial environment as the entrepreneurial environment has evolved considerably because of education and awareness because it is a relatively new and insufficiently understood area of society (Hariri, 2019)

moreover, some sectors have no investment in it, and there were no records of it, such as entertainment, tourism-related things, And I was surprised that there was a big competition from foreigners and the presence of foreign companies previously was a major challenge for entrepreneurs and small businesses. After that I learned at the seminar that at the beginning of the decision is the hardest stage that the entrepreneur passes by and learned that the project has specific stages, and the first stage is to determine the primary goal (Micheal R, 2018)  and it is essential to have a passion before I decide to create my project ask myself what I like and what work I enjoy then I learned that my thinking must be open in general and it is wrong to devote my thoughts in a particular area. After that, the Executive Director, Hanan, spoke about the General authority for establishments, which I liked very much and drew my attention to be a specialized body to deal with the problems and difficulties faced and also to communicate with the entities that belong to entrepreneurs such as the Ministry of Labor, I liked it very much and I think it is useful and it is shortened much Time for Entrepreneurs . Finally, I learned about the importance of the business identity of the project as the business identity gives a distinctive impression to the institution or company and is the basis for success.

  • Evaluation of learning

When the symposium ended, I can’t count on what I’ve learned. I have learned a lot from the pioneers of business and they have truly inspired me with their experiences and I hope to become one of them successful and ambitious someday. Also, I will work with the advice that they said at the seminar, which is one of the most successful projects that start on the university trip and it is necessary to have a competitive advantage that is not available to others. One of the very important things that I decided upon the completion of the seminar is to look for my passion because without passion I cannot continue to open my own business and the meaning of passion is to do something that makes me feel happy like writing or even cooking and passion also related to talent (Abahe.uk, 2017) also, I will attend courses so that I can get experience in the field I am passionate about so that I can do my best before starting my project then I will look at previous entrepreneurs how they started and what difficulties and problems they faced so as not to fall into the future.

In conclusion, I am very grateful to the teacher Shahed al-Nasser for attending this very useful seminar and I am going to attend many entrepreneurs seminars in the future.

  • Description

Name: Hadeel Almoghaisib

Event: Business fundamentals: Effective communication

Date: 3 February 2019

Organizer: The open university

Presenter: Dr. Hilary Collins

Location: virtual

Attending workshops is very important for business, and because I want to become a businesswoman in the future, I will attend this workshop because I think it will benefit me, the speaker for the workshop is Dr. Hilary Collins, And The workshop lasted for four weeks. Hilary Collins explained the extent

The importance of communication and Specifically focused on communication in business. The meaning of communication is; is the process of sending and receiving messages through verbal or non-verbal means, including speech, writing, graphical representations, and behavior. More simply, communication is said to be the exchange and creation of meaning (Nordquist, 2019).

The workshop talked about the basic principles of communication and ways to improve communication in any circumstance and also strategies to increase my effectiveness in all areas.  And one of the topics Hilary’s going to talk about in the first and second week is face to face and virtual meetings and the for the second week is the presentations.

When I know there is a workshop, I was very excited about, and I felt active because it was the first time, I attend a workshop talking about communicating with details.

  • Analysis of learning

When I finished the workshop, I learned many things and learned about the importance and benefits of communication and how to communicate effectively between individuals and the groups, and I’ve learned that business continuity, in general, is the spoken and written interaction that occurs between people who work in business contexts. After that I learned a new information for me, which is the external communication of the business, including interactions between organizations and the external environment.

The workshop also explained the key principles of business communication which is:

  • Understanding the context of my communications: It is important to be aware of the culture of my organization and the external organization that I will communicate with, because without this understanding, I will not be able to establish a common relationship and understand each other.
  • select the most appropriate medium: In order for my connection to be effective, I need to select suitable media for my purpose, such as e-mail and phone calls.
  • the obvious goal in mind: The main reason for communicating in business is to achieve a specific goal, so I learned that I have to make sure I know what the audience understands and do.

Also, I understood and absorbed ways to enhance the effectiveness of communication and focused explicitly on face-to-face meetings with a specific goal of leading the opportunities of meeting colleagues, managers, exchanging ideas, sharing information, planning projects and making important decisions. A simplified meeting is defined as grouping two or more people in a specific place for deliberation, consultation, exchange of information and opinion in a particular place (Al-Duwaihi, 2018) I have also learned that most meetings can be categorized into four main categories:

  • Group meetings: Meetings tend to be regular, short and sometimes informal. Their aim is to report progress and take the necessary action.
  • Information meetings: The purpose is to exchange information such as financial statements.
  • Decision-making: The purpose of this meeting is to make important decisions related to the company.

Other topics that Hilary Collins explain it is presentations. I’ve learned that setting up business presentations at meetings is very important and very useful as it helps to access the information , Also She explained how the presentation becomes effective and the Strategies that reduce stress before the presentation and how the audience interacts, and the last thing I realized that One of the essential points that I have learned which is I ask myself who is my target audience because it is helps me to plan my content and also helps me to communicate with my people effectively, The second point is strategies that help to reduce stress and anxiety are: exercise, planning, and relaxation.

  • Evaluation of learning

This workshop made me know and learn about the ways of communication and I have benefited a lot and learned new information which I have never experienced before in my life. I will try to apply what I learned in this workshop on the reality and I really strongly recommend attending a workshop like this as it helps to form an individual personality.

One of the things that I decided to do when I finished this workshop is attended courses to improve my body language because they are essential in communicating and can also be a substitute for the verbal message and it is considered  a form of secure communication in the expression of many meanings, feelings, and ideas that words cannot express (Body language in communication, 2011). However, Before I attended this workshop, I thought that communication was between people, but when I finished, I knew that connection had many forms. And I discovered in the workshop a new program for offers presentations his named Prezi I think my presentations will become distinctive when I use it.

In conclusion, I wish and aspire to attend many workshops like this, and I hope, and I will try to apply what I have learned in my life with friends and family not only in my working life.
